The Professional Edition of the ActivInspire software possesses an Annotate Over Desktop tool, which will allow the use of ActivInspire annotation tools on documents, images, or webpages opened outside of the software.

Be advised that any annotations made using this feature do not save to the documents being annotated over; they are made in the ActivInspire software, not in the program being used to open the documents in question.
Also, when changing to a different document or webpage, you will need to clear the page before making any additional annotations over the new document; any annotations made over the previous document will still be in place in the ActivInspire software.
