My reply seemed lost.
Here a short version: aptitude doesn't work well managing the dependencies while apt-get gets the job done. The only problem is the removal of jackd1 and its libraries, but it can be replaced by jackd2 (same functions).
sudo aptitude install activ-meta-it
The following NEW packages will be installed:
activ-meta-it activinspire{a} activinspire-help-it{a} activresources-core-it{a} ia32-libs{a} ia32-libs-i386:i386
libgphoto2-2:i386 libgphoto2-port0:i386{a} libjack-jackd2-0:i386{b} libjpeg62{a} libltdl7:i386{a} liblzma5:i386{a}
libodbc1:i386 libsamplerate0:i386{a} libsane:i386 libxml2:i386 libxslt1.1:i386 odbcinst1debian2:i386
The following packages are RECOMMENDED but will NOT be installed:
libsane-extras:i386
0 packages upgraded, 18 newly installed, 0 to remove and 7 not upgraded.
Need to get 165 MB of archives. After unpacking 308 MB will be used.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:

The following actions will resolve these dependencies:
Keep the following packages at their current version:
1) activ-meta-it [Not Installed]
2) activinspire [Not Installed]
3) ia32-libs [Not Installed]
4) ia32-libs-i386:i386 [Not Installed]
5) libjack-jackd2-0:i386 [Not Installed]
Accept this solution? [Y/n/q/?]
