You can name the Activotes in ActivInspire, the process may be a little different. There is an article on the knowledge base that may help. Visit www.prometheankb.com, select your region/language, in the search box type in 10397. This article also illustrates the student database, if you need instructions on how to create the student data base, instructions can be found in the Help files in ActivInspire, To locate this with the software open select Help/ Contents, this opens a web tab, to the left select Using Learner Response Systems/ Assigning students to devices.
