I'm sorry you ran into this issue. It seems there is an issue with SSL on your machine. I would suggest the following:
- Uninstall ActivInspire - Go to the Finder and search for "ActivInspire_uninstaller". Run it, select all an uninstall
- Restart the computer after the uninstall
- Reinstall ActivInspire 2.0
We have been testing ActivInspire 2.0 with Mavericks (10.9.x) and so far we have not run into the issue you are experiencing.
