Hi Shannon.

Thank you for posting on the forum.

So we can help assist with this issue you are experiencing on your Mac computer please could you confirm what driver you are using? You should see the ActivManager icon on your task bar at the top, Please click on this and click the option for 'Control Panel', on the control panel for ActivManager under the 'Hardware' tab you will see a version number at the bottom of the window and will look similar to "Version 5.X.XX". 

If you are using a version prior to 5.10, or do not see this icon, please download from this link. Prior to installing this software, please do not connect your MacBook Pro to your ActivBoard. Once the installation has finished, please re-connect your USB cable and see if your ActivBoard works.

If you are still experiencing issues, please could you confirm what model of ActivBoard you are using?
