Hello Tom,
In addition to a USB connection being made from the computer to the board, there will also need to be a VGA connection made from the computer to the projector in use with that board. If this is not in place, kindly make that connection, power the projector and computer on, and let us know if you are still seeing no image put onto the board by the projector.
If the projector is powered on, but no image is seen from the projector, please try ensuring the connection in place is secure, and attempting as direct a connection as possible from the computer to the board, by-passing any hardware used in making that connection.
