I did everything necessary to update the driver, as well as update to the newest version of ActivInspire. After following your previous directions and links for updating, while logged on as an administrator, I was able to manipulate the board easily with the pen, calibrate, write without spiking and hesitation, etc... All appeared to work. I logged off of the computer as an administrator and logged on under my username. Now the board will not recognize the pen at all, so it appears that I'm either back at square one or there is some kind of privilege to use the board that is locked for me as a user, but not as an administrator.
