Hi After completing the “Update Driver Software” wizard (accessed by right-clicking on the item in Device , with C:\Program Files\Activ Software\ActivDriver\activusb\XP chosen as the location tin which the wizard looks for that driver, were you presented with any sort of message indicating an error or any other reason for failure? If so, what did the message state? No error message. It said that the best driver is installed or similar Also, is this connection issue presenting with just this one Windows 8.1 Laptop or do other Windows 8.1 Laptops present the same ability to connect to one board of a given model and no others? Other Lenovo Thinkpads do the same. Should I try with the power supply connected? Regards, Grant
