In our experience, the behavior described with the ActiVote while any set of batteries are installed would indicate that the device has experienced a fault for which we would issue a replacement device per its warranty coverage, as no user-serviceable actions or parts can correct that fault. If the devices in question are outside of their warranty coverage, we would advise contacting your Promethean Reseller for information regarding the pricing and availability of a replacement device.
