Thank you for the quick response. The activmgr for the Mac is 5.9.16. I can tell you the firmware tomorrow afternoon.
I had not thought of disabling the touch input. This would make some sense since it seems like someone is controlling the computer by opening applications, windows, moving the cursor, and clicking the mouse
We are using the white wallbox from the original installation. i could try the direct connection next week, but I would be surprised that this is the issue since we have the same set-up throughout the school.
Connecting to a different computer had the same behavior.
