Forum Post: Projector bulb will not turn on ,

 I have a promethean projector model prm-30A.  When I turn the projector on the bulb will not come on , the fan will run and then it turns off. I talked to my IT person about the problem  and they told if the bulb is not the problem because the projector does not indicate lamp replacement.  I am really lost here.

Can you please give me any advice?
