I just moved from a district where we had Promethean Activboards and software. I was extensively trained in Activispire and pretty much am fluent using it for instruction. I've made dozens and dozens of really great flipcharts. But I moved this year to a district that has SMART boards. I am unfamiliar with the Notebook software so until I learn that program well enough, I have been using Activinspire with my SMART board. All things I read and watch online say that it should work fine with just a few features causing issues. However, when I have a flipchart up, I cannot access any of my tools. I can click on them with my finger and they'll look like the correct tool (pen, highlighter, fill etc...) but I only get the functionality of the select tool. Now on my computer I can use it without any problem. I don't understand if my finger "is" the mouse on the smartboard then why won't it work like the computer does? I'm wondering if there is a setting that is weird, or if the Notebook software installed interferes with something. I don't know but I know there is a way to make it work because I see videos of people using activinspire on their smartboards and things work fine.
Any advice is helpful! Just don't tell me it won't work because I know that it can. Thanks so much!
