Forum Post: Re: Parts for an abv578pro board.

Hi Jeff.

Has the electronics board been damaged at all previously and this why you require a replacement?

What issue are you experiencing with your 578PRO ActivBoard?

Have you been in touch with Promethean Technical Support directly to see if we can help assist with the warranty? If so, please could you provide the previous case reference number so I could look into this for yourself.

If you haven't been in touch with Promethean regarding this ActivBoard, I would recommend contacting us via phone or filling in the contact form. Please provide the serial number of the ActivBoard when you get in touch.

I have created a case to start assisting with this issue, if you would like to quote 00421372 when you contact us the representative at Promethean will be able to assist.

Forum Post: Re: ActivInspire professional (current version) on Windows 8 touch screen TV

Thank you for this answer. I had a problem with my ActivInspire and Panasonic Elite Panaboard UB-T580. Every time I touched the board the only tool I could use was the selection tool. I changed  the "Touch input handling" to "touch or Stylus" and this allows two users to work on the whiteboard using all the tools!

Thank you very much!

Forum Post: Active inspire calibration turned off

Just a query with regard to turning on the calibration tool.  It is switched off on the desktop and I cannot calibrate the board for the pen to work.

Any suggestions

Thanks

Forum Post: Pen isn't recognized-- can't seem to get ActivDriver

I just had my school system's tech person install Active Inspire software, but they did not install driver.  I believe this is why my pen won't work.  I tried to install a driver myself, but still no go.

I am on a MacBook Air, an am not familiar with Macs at all.  What do I need to do to get the correct version of Driver and Manager on my Mac to be able to use the pen?  How do I ensure that the driver I installed in permanently removed?

I should also not the tech person didn't have a registration code with her..so it's a 'trial version' that I am running right now, until she stops by next week with the code.

Thanks

Forum Post: Re: Flipchart

Hi Adam

Thanks for the speedy reply.

School does not start till next week so I will check when I'm back in. I usually save on to my hard drive but it is possible that it has saved to my pen stick rather than the system.

They are fairly large flips - I usually do a whole weeks worth so 5 lessons, prob 40+ pages with video links and images. Its funny as have never had the problem until I bought my new laptop!

Forum Post: Re: TV connection

Hi,

As for How I am trying to connect to the TV's -- I have no idea.  That was the reason I was contacting you.  I was hoping that I could just use the cable coaxial cord.  I don't even think that is the right word, but the old school cable cord.  If not several of our old school tvs have those red/white/ and yellow audio/video input plugs.

The projector models are the PRM 35's (30 of those) and I have two PRM 25's too.

I have attached two pictures of the boxes and the side of the prom. brds.

And I have NO IDEA what tv box you are talking about.  I mean our school televisions are from the 1970's :)

Any help that you can give me will be great.

Forum Post: Re: No Activhub Hardware is connected

We are having the same problem.  Upgraded computers to Windows 8.1 Enterprise over the summer.   Could this be the cause?  I am also unable to register any devices - the window that comes up when I try to register is three blank columns - it doesn't look anything like previous screens I have seen.  ActivHub driver is 5.8.46.3  Firmware V5.13 Build 0 .   ActiveInspire has the latest update.  Please help

Forum Post: Re: ActivInspire will not update to ActivInspire 2.0

Hi Brad,

Are you running Windows?  If you are, look at the information on this link:

support.microsoft.com/.../834484

It describes the cases when error 1603 occurs.  The most likely reason is that you don't have Full Control permissions on the folder where you are installing the product.

Forum Post: Re: Mac Air 10.9.4 Active Inspire does not launch

Hi Cathy,

I'm sorry you ran into this issue.  It seems there is an issue with SSL on your machine.  I would suggest the following:

  • Uninstall ActivInspire - Go to the Finder and search for "ActivInspire_uninstaller".  Run it, select all an uninstall
  • Restart the computer after the uninstall
  • Reinstall ActivInspire 2.0

We have been testing ActivInspire 2.0 with Mavericks (10.9.x) and so far we have not run into the issue you are experiencing.

Hope this helps.

Fernando

Forum Post: Re: Flipchart

Hi Beckie.

Does this still happen when you open any flip chart that you have saved recently? Or just the in particular file?

Forum Post: Re: Active inspire calibration turned off

Hi Clare.

Thanks for posting on the forum.

If your calibration option is grayed out on the ActivManager icon on your taskbar this means that there is no connection between your computer and the ActivBoard. Please check to ensure that your USB cable from the ActivBoard is connected to your computer, please also check if this has come loose/unplugged from the other end going into the ActivBoard.

If the issue is still present, please test another USB cable directly into the ActivBoard connecting to your computer bypassing any wall boxes or connection panels that you may be using.

If you still need any assistance please reply back to this post or alternatively if you would like to contact us directly please quote your reference number which I have created to support this issue. Your reference number is 00422076.

Forum Post: Re: How to

Hi Jo.

Thanks for posting on the forum.

Please be advised that the ActivPrimary and ActivStudio software is no longer supported since the launch of ActivInspire.

What you should be able to do is to copy and paste the desired text from your word document and press paste. I have tested this in ActivInspire and this works and allows you to edit the colour and font among other things too.

We would recommend upgrading to the ActivInspire software so that you can be up to date and get support for any ActivInspire issues or questions so we can best advise.

You can download ActivInspire by going to the below link:

I hope this information helps.

Forum Post: Re: MacBook Air with Mavericks and the ActivBoard

In response to Anne's issue -- my recommendation would be to ensure that you are on the latest version of the Promethean driver and AI software, and that you have at least 4GB of RAM in that old MacBook!

Forum Post: Re: No Activhub Hardware is connected

I'm having the same issues stated above, but when I go to search for the article 10902, it does not come up.

Forum Post: Re: Incorrect Text Display

This was the answer I received in an e-mail that worked!

When you follow these steps, it seemed me that I hadn't changed anything, that it was the default setting.  However after restarting the computer everything started appearing correctly.  What a time saver!!!!

Hi Michael,

Please follow steps below:

- right click on your desktop and choose Personalize

- click on Display at the bottom left corner

- tick the box "Let me choose one scaling level for all displays"

- choose the option "Smaller 100%"

- click "Apply"

Please test the flipchart and let us know the outcome.

Thank you

Miguel
