That doesn't actually help. If Device 10 does not work, and I click on Device 10 on the left side of the voting browser, it does not prevent Device 10 from being assigned to a student. Whoever is 10th in alphabetical order in the class will then be turned off...which is not what I want;. Obviously I can give them Device 28 that is not being used, but it doesn't help with the data collection being associated with that student's name. AND as a teacher with 17 sections of students, it is time-consuming to have to go into 17 different class reports and find Device 28 and enter in the name of the student who should have been #10 for that particular class. Does that make sense? I guess I just have to unregister ALL of them and re-register again...but that is also time-consuming when two days from now a different Activote may stop working and I may have to do it again. That's why I was hoping for a shortcut! Thank you anyway. (and when I say "stop working" I do trouble shoot as much as I can...first change the batteries, then clean up the contact points and make sure everything is lined up the way it is supposed to...and after that, I don't know anything else to do other than write it off as broken. If there is more I can do, by all means, let me know!)
