In regards to your connection issue can you please carry out the below trouble shooting steps to try and resolve the connection issue -
Reset the ActivBoard (this can be done by removing power from the ActivBoard, please turn off your projector and ensure the fans have stopped before doing this)
Check the device manager for any errors
Test with a known working different computer.
