You can go ahead and download ActivInspire 2.0. That should work correctly on your Mac.
The main issue you are having is that you are downloading the Resource Pack, not the Product Installer. Go back to Promethean Planet, log in, go to www.prometheanplanet.com/activinspire, select your preferred language (I assume it is either English UK or US) and then download the product by clicking on the icon that says download:
