Sorry to hear your having issues with your PRM-32 remote.
Have you tested other remotes from the same model of projector? Do they work first time or still intermittent?
I would recommend contacting Promethean technical support directly should you still have issues.

Hi Frank.

Thanks for posting regarding this issue.

Please could you advise what model of ActivBoard this is? Please provide the product code on the side of the ActivBoard.

What colours are currently flashing on the LED in the top left corner?

Please could you reset your ActivBoard. To do this, remove your USB cable from the computer and turn off at the mains. If your projector is on the same mains socket, please power this down leaving enough time to cool the unit.

Leave for 5 minutes and turn on and reconnect. The LED's will cycle through different colours on start up and should go to the normal white/purple state for the ActivBoard to work.

Thanks for posting on the forum.

Do you have your license key information stored anywhere? If so, please enter this into the 'Activation number' box when prompted. Click on the tick box to accept the terms and conditions and 'OK' should be clickable.

If you do not have your license key, you can generate one providing you have a Promethean ActivBoard. Please go to article 10937 on www.PrometheanKB.com for instructions on how to do this.

If you have previously generated a license key using your Promethean ActivBoard serial number and you receive the error "serial number not valid", I would recommend contacting Promethean Technical Support directly. I have created a technical support case for you to quote. The reference number is 00425376.

Hi Adam the board did work yesterday with another laptop.=20

The model number is PRM-20AV1(S)

I'm using a VGA and I have tried using a different one. I also have a USB ca=

ble.=20

It flashes computer one, two etc for few seconds then turns to a blue screen=

with a countdown click on bottom left for 5 minutes before turning black.=20=

Green light stays a steady green.=20

My teachers are having the same issue with the calibration. The calibration will only work when the displays are duplicated not extended. We have dell tablets on a docking station running windows 8.1. There is no prompt asking for us to pick a screen to calibrate. Anxiously awaiting your response.

I have a mix of boards from the activboard 1 to the older TDS boards. I've tried the latest version of ActivDriver x64 with Windows 8.1  The com port (3 or 4) is found (USB converter of course) (Aten and prolific? adaptors) but pressing connect does nothing.  I've tried power cycling the boards and the laptop.  Ideas?

Hello,

We have recently had a number of new 578 Pro boards with EST-P1 projectors installed and are having difficulty with screen adjustment. We are unable to get a satisfactory fit and were wondering if there were recommended settings (either computer display or projector, or both) for this combination that would allow the projected image to fill the screen properly.

We are having the same exact problem at my school. I have multiple teachers unable to calibrate their extended displays because the points never show on the extended display.

We have a guide on how to align the EST-P1 projector on our knowledge base. Please go to www.PrometheanKB.com and search for article 11104. This article contains a PDF document showing the best way on aligning to get that perfect fit.

Hi Michele.

Thanks for posting on the forum.

With regard to the specific black and white pixels issue you are having, I would recommend filling in our contact form, and taking a picture of the pixels with no source connected (remove the VGA/HDMI cable) so it is displaying the Promethean splash screen.

Hi Charles.

Thanks for posting on the forum.

With regard to this specific issue, I would recommend uninstalling your current ActivManager version, and downgrading the driver to a previous version. On the install for the driver it will ask you to install "USB" or "USB + Serial", please ensure you select "USB + Serial".

This should help with the connection issue for the serial cable.

Also, if you are using a serial to USB converter, double check to see if there is any drivers required for this device.

I am running active Inspire ver. 1.8 on a mac.  When I opened my saved flipcharts from last year it appears that my flipcharts do not recognize the fronts I used.  I am using comic sans ms, and comic sans ms bold.  The comic sans ms bold text boxes are defaulting to some weird font which then fouls up my text boxes.

I checked the font folder on my mac and comic sans ms is there, as is comic sans bold.  I have been going through all the text boxes fixing them, but  that is no solution.

Dear Keith,

The dialog box should pop up when you start ActivInspire.  If it doesn't then go to Help / About / and click the Register button.  If the button is grayed out your product is already registered.

I called technical support and still don't have answers. They suggested that I try running a VGA cable from the projector directly to my computer, and bypass the box. I tried that, but had the same result. Nothing seems to work.

I posted this already in the Activboard Forum, but I was not able to get any answers. Please excuse my lengthy post, but I'm trying to give as much information as I can. This really has me stumped. I'd really appreciate any help I could get! (Case 00421382)

Here is my post:

Over the summer, I upgraded the operating system on my MacBook Air (13") to Mavericks (OS 10.9.4). When I returned to school and plugged in my connected the projector to my laptop, the image no longer fills the screen on my board. I made sure my display was set at 1280 X 800. I also made sure the projector screen aspect ratio was set at 16:10. The product code on my board is ABV387PRO. Can you please help? I attached pictures of the display.

 

 

I tried changing the projector to the normal, true and full settings, and here's what I got:

I tried the "Auto PC" button, and that did not work. I called Technical Support, and they suggested that I try running a different VGA cable directly from my projector to my computer (bypassing the box). No luck there either. 

Any other suggestions?
