Hi Wendy.

What is the current screen resolution when you tested this?

Have you tried any of the below screen resolutions:

1280x800

1440x900

1680x1050

1920x1200

Please let me know if this helps.

Hi Amy

Thanks for posting on the forums. I see that you posted 3 times in total with the same issue, I have removed the other 2 so that we can focus on helping resolve your issue on this post. 

With regard to the driver and ActivInspire software, do you know what version of ActivInspire was installed on your MacBook Air? Launch ActivInspire and click on Help>About and the version will be listed here.

To double check that you have the driver, you should have a ActivManager icon on your taskbar near the date and time.

Which looks similar to , it is possible if your pens arent working that there is a red X icon through this. If you do have this, please could you click on this and click on Control Panel. At the bottom of this window will have a driver version. If your ActivBoard is seen listed under "Description" please also provide the firmware.

If you do not have the ActivManager icon, you can download this by going to www.PrometheanKB.com and search for article 10902 and selecting the appropriate version for your MacBook Air.

If you do have the red X appearing on the icon, then please ensure that you have checked all of the cables between the ActivBoard and the Macbook Air and ensure they are plugged in. 

If the issue still persists please could you provide the version numbers and also the ActivBoard Product number (Search for article 10474 if you require help identifying this).

Should you wish to contact Promethean Technical Support directly either by phone or via email please quote your reference number which I have created to assist resolving this issue which is 00423373.

Hi Bruce.

Please could you advise what version of ActivManager that you have? Please click on your icon and select Control Panel. This information is listed at the bottom.

How long is the cable between your MacBook Air and the ActivBoard? If the cable is more than 5 meters, please test a smaller length USB cable directly into the ActivBoard and see if this helps. You mentioned this was installed flush to the wall, the USB cable will need to plug in behind the ActivBoard approximately behind where the LED in the top left corner is.

Are all of the ActivBoard's standard 300 series (these do not include the speakers)? If possible, please could you provide the product code of the ActivBoard that isn't working with this MacBook? Also, what version of Mac is installed?

I have a MacBook Air 10.9.2 and just downloaded the drive for 10.6 and up.  When I go into the driver file and click on active calibrate, it says "board not found"  I have restarted 2x since installing the driver.  Is there a set process of which I should have installed the driver?

 

 

 

My board is connected through a box, then I plug in a VGA cable that is plugged into a mono piece adapter, that is plugged into my Mac Air.

 

I am trying to trouble shoot on my own since my 'IT' person at my school won't be around for another month or so.

I do see my ActivBoard listed under description. The light is green. All cables are plugged in. ActivBoard: V8.09 v4

  •  I am using windows 8.1 with a usb super booster to ethernet to usb B on the board side. I have one board that has no power. I pulled a known good super booster off to troubleshoot no power but it still failed. The real problem is that when i put the parts back onto the original working board i now have no power to it. Windows gives me an error "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"  The board never gets power though. The flame never lights up. I've uninstalled the driver and re-installed the latest driver but still get error. I also installed the latest version of active inspire as well. Any ideas why I wouldn't get power back to the working board? Thanks in advance

It is set at 1280 X  800.  This has me stumped.  I feel as if I've tried everything.

Good day,

I have been trying for 2 full days  to install the activeinspire on my laptop. I first tried the V 1.5 and I got the error 1603 while installing. I got the V 1.6 from my school and even tried to download the installer from the promethean website but I still got the 1603 error.

I run windows 7 64 bit on my laptop. I am an administrator and gave full control to "system" as stated on the microsoft website. But I still have the same error.

Can you help me on this one please.

Hi,

If you are simply looking to connect a coaxial cable up to your board, then I would recommend buying a TV Tuner and using it's output to connect to the board. 

The projector or board does not have a built in tuner, which you require if you connecting a Coaxial cable from the antenna.

To then connect the TV tuner to the board you simply use the Red, Yellow and white cables to the white wallbox in the picture.

You can also buy a TV Tuner for your PC which plugs in via USB and you can watch TV without switching source.

Thanks for this information.

Please could you change on your projector menu the 16:10 option to "Fill" and keep your screen resolution to 1280x 800. Does this fix the issue?

If you still have issues with the image, I would recommend contacting technical support directly over the phone so we could help assist. Please quote your reference number (00421382).

Hi Sherri.

When you download ActivInspire this will run the personal edition. Once an activation number has been entered into the software, the next time you re-launch ActivInspire this will launch the professional version.
